Edison Format Card Pool
Edison Format uses TCG cards only, released up to and including The Shining Darkness (May 2010). Anything released later — starting with Duelist Revolution — is not legal.
The rules of the pool
- Legal: every TCG booster set, structure deck, special edition, tin promo, and championship promo released up to and including The Shining Darkness (May 7, 2010).
- Not legal: Duelist Revolution and every set released after it, plus all OCG-only cards that had no TCG release by that date.
- All lists must also respect the March 1, 2010 Forbidden & Limited list.
- Deck construction is standard: Main Deck 40–60 cards, Extra Deck up to 15, Side Deck up to 15.
The result is a pool of roughly 4,500 unique cards — nearly three times the size of the Goat Format card pool — which is exactly why Edison supports a dozen-plus competitive archetypes.
