1. Membership and Eligibility

• Membership is open to anyone 13 years or older (or the minimum age required by law in your jurisdiction).
• By joining, you confirm that all registration details are accurate and kept up to date.
• We may, at our discretion, suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

2. Scope and Purpose

Goat World exists to:

• Provide a community hub for discussion, learning, and competitive play related to Goat Format.
• Offer free participation in most community events.
• Host optional tournaments and premium events, which may require voluntary subscriptions or entry fees.
• Support members with digital tools such as our bot, API, and database.

We are not affiliated with Konami Digital Entertainment, Yu-Gi-Oh!, or any official publisher or rights holder.

3. User Responsibilities

By using our Services, you agree to:

• Abide by our Code of Conduct.
• Respect moderators, administrators, and other members.
• Use the Services only for lawful, non-commercial purposes unless expressly permitted.
• Refrain from harassment, spam, hate speech, cheating, exploiting bugs, or disruptive conduct.
• Refrain from uploading or distributing content that infringes copyrights, trademarks, or intellectual property rights.

4. Tournaments and Events

• Participation is subject to event-specific rules published in advance.
• Results, rulings, and decisions made by designated tournament staff are final.
• Prizes (if applicable) will be awarded as described in each event's ruleset.
• Entry fees or subscriptions (if applicable) are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.
• We reserve the right to disqualify participants for cheating, misconduct, or violation of rules.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

• While most features are free, we may offer optional premium features, subscriptions, or event access (e.g., via Patreon or Stripe).
• Payments are processed securely by third-party providers. We do not store full payment details.
• Subscription terms, renewal cycles, and cancellation policies will be disclosed at the time of purchase.
• Failure to pay subscription fees may result in loss of access to premium features or events.

6. Intellectual Property and Copyright

• All Yu-Gi-Oh! trademarks, cards, artwork, and related content are the property of Konami Digital Entertainment and their respective rights holders.
• Goat World makes no claim of ownership and provides its Services for community, educational, and competitive purposes only.
• Any original content created within Goat World (guides, tournament data, discussions, or tools) remains the property of its authors but may be shared within the Community under a non-exclusive, royalty-free license.
• Users are solely responsible for ensuring that their content does not infringe the rights of third parties.

7. Privacy

Your use of the Services is subject to our Privacy Policy. By participating, you consent to the collection and use of data in accordance with that policy.

8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

• The Services are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
• Goat World does not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or specific outcomes from participation.
• We are not responsible for downtime, technical errors, or issues caused by third-party platforms (e.g., Discord, Patreon, Stripe).
• We are not liable for disputes between members, financial losses, data breaches, or damages resulting from participation in tournaments or use of Services.
• Participation is at your own risk.

9. Enforcement and Termination

• Violations of these Terms or the Code of Conduct may result in warnings, suspensions, or permanent bans.
• We reserve the right to remove content or restrict access without prior notice.
• Banned users are not entitled to refunds of any subscriptions or entry fees.

10. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Updates will be communicated via our Services. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, without regard to conflict of law principles.
