Code of Conduct

Effective Date: 19 August 2025

The Goat World Community exists to bring together fans and players of Goat Format in a respectful, fair, and inclusive environment. To maintain a safe and enjoyable space for everyone, all members agree to abide by this Code of Conduct when using our Discord server, website, bot, API, database, tournaments, and related platforms (the “Services”). 1. Core Principles

  • Respect – Treat all members, staff, and moderators with courtesy.
  • Fair Play – Compete honestly without cheating, exploiting bugs, or manipulating rules.
  • Integrity – Take responsibility for your actions and communications.
  • Inclusivity – Discrimination, harassment, or hate speech of any kind is not tolerated.
  • Community Spirit – Remember that Goat World is built for enjoyment, learning, and competitive spirit, not to attack people and spread toxicity.

2. Expected Behavior

Members must:

  • Communicate respectfully in all chats, games, and events.
  • Use appropriate language; avoid slurs, insults, or offensive content.
  • Follow tournament rules, reporting match results honestly.
  • Use the Services only for lawful, non-commercial purposes.
  • Protect other members' privacy (no doxxing, sharing of private info).
  • Report bugs, exploits, or suspicious activity responsibly to staff.

3. Prohibited Behavior

The following are strictly prohibited:

  • Harassment, bullying, threats, or intimidation.
  • Hate speech or discriminatory remarks (including race, gender, nationality, religion, sexual orientation, disability).
  • Cheating, match fixing, or exploiting game mechanics/software bugs.
  • Spamming, flooding, or disrupting conversations/events.
  • Impersonating staff, moderators, or other members.
  • Uploading or distributing content that infringes copyrights, trademarks, or intellectual property rights (including Konami's IP).
  • Sharing malware, phishing attempts, or malicious links.

4. Tournaments and Competitive Play

  • Matches must be reported truthfully by both players.
  • Cheating, collusion, or falsifying results leads to immediate disqualification.
  • Judges and tournament organizers have the authority to make final rulings.
  • Respect time limits, procedures, and event rules as announced.

5. Enforcement

  • Moderators may issue warnings, mute, suspend, or ban users who violate this Code.
  • Severe violations (e.g., harassment, cheating, or IP infringement) may result in immediate permanent removal.
  • Repeated minor violations may escalate to bans at staff discretion.
  • Enforcement decisions are final and not subject to appeal.

6. Liability and Responsibility

  • Goat World is not responsible for disputes between members, losses in tournaments, or damages caused by user behavior.
  • Participation is at your own risk.
  • By joining, you acknowledge and agree that failure to follow this Code may result in loss of access to the Community.

7. Changes to the Code

We may update this Code of Conduct periodically. Updates will be communicated through the Services. Continued participation after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Code.
